How to Complete Success Networking Team (SNT) Meetings as Part of the Steps to Induction

What are Success Networking Teams (SNTs)?

Success Networking Teams (SNTs) are dynamic groups designed to foster collaboration, support, and accountability among members. These teams play a pivotal role in the NSLS induction process, providing a structured environment where members can work together to achieve their personal and professional goals.

You must complete three SNT meetings with your group to become an inducted member.

How SNTs Work

In-Person Chapters Members: Navigate to your Chapter Calendar in the Member’s Area.

Online Chapter Members:  Navigate to the SNT section of the Members Area.

  1. Formation and Participation:
    • For In-Person Chapter Members: Check your Chapter Calendar to see when there are SNT meetings available to you. If you don’t see any, you can reach out to your Chapter Leaders for more information.
    • For Online Chapter Members: Navigate to the SNT section of the Members Area and learn how you can use our Facebook group or your friends, family, and peers to form an SNT group. Your SNT group does not need to be made up of other NSLS members.
  2. Meeting Structure:
    • Regular Sessions: SNTs typically meet on a regular basis throughout the semester. It is recommended to hold meetings 2-3 weeks apart to allow for meaningful progress towards your goals.
    • Format: Meetings can be in-person or online, depending on chapter logistics and member availability.
  3. Purpose and Goals:
    • Goal Setting: Each member sets personal goals related to leadership development, academic success, career advancement, or personal growth.
    • Accountability: SNTs provide a platform for members to share their goals, progress, and challenges. Peers offer constructive feedback and hold each other accountable for achieving their objectives.
    • Peer Coaching: Members engage in peer coaching, sharing insights, strategies, and resources to help one another overcome obstacles and optimize their efforts.
  4. Collaboration and Support:
    • Networking Opportunities: SNTs facilitate networking among members, fostering connections that can lead to mentorship, collaboration on projects, or shared professional opportunities.
    • Mutual Support: The environment encourages mutual support and encouragement, creating a community of like-minded individuals dedicated to personal and collective success.
  5. Integration with Induction Steps:
    • Integral Component: SNT participation is a core component of the Steps to Induction within the NSLS. It complements other activities such as Orientation, Leadership Training Day (LTD), and Speaker Broadcasts.
    • Completion Requirements: Members are required to attend a minimum number of 3 SNT meetings as part of their induction process. This ensures active engagement and benefits from the collaborative environment.
