How to Complete Orientation and Start Your Steps to Induction

Orientation Overview

Orientation is the first step towards becoming an inducted member of The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS). It provides you with all the essential information you need to know about the program, guiding you through the process to complete the Steps to Induction successfully.

In-Person Chapters

  • To Begin: Navigate to your Chapter Calendar in the Members Area.
  • Scheduling: Orientation sessions are scheduled at the beginning of each semester. Once scheduled, they will be listed on your Chapter Calendar.
  • Attendance: Attend the scheduled orientation meeting at your campus. This session is usually conducted by your chapter advisor or leadership team.
  • Content: During Orientation, you will receive an overview of the NSLS, details about the benefits of membership, and an explanation of the Steps to Induction. You will also get a chance to ask questions and meet other pre-inducted members.
  • Materials: You may be provided with handouts, guides, and access to online resources that will help you throughout your induction process.
  • Credit: After the event, your Chapter Leaders will award you credit for completing Orientation and you will be ready to attend Leadership Training Day! Please allow 2-3 business days for your credit to be awarded.

Online Chapters

  • To Begin: Navigate to the Orientation section of the Members Area.
  • Attendance: Watch the pre-recorded session. As a member of an Online Chapter, you are able to complete orientation at your convenience, but it is recommended to start as soon as you can. This will allow you to continue your Steps to Induction.
  • Content: The online orientation covers the same essential information as the in-person session. You will learn about the NSLS, membership benefits, and the Steps to Induction.
  • Materials: Digital copies of all necessary materials will be provided. Make sure to download and review these resources to help guide you through the induction process.
  • Credit: Once you complete Orientation by watching the video and answering the Orientation Questions, your submission will be reviewed by our National Office and you will be notified via email in your Members Area if you received credit within 24-48 business hours.
